Transformers Cell Phones - New Concept

Transformers theme has become quite popular today and there are many projects working on that. However, folks at Parkoz Hardware have come up with a very unique idea. Transforming cell phones, are they gadgets of the future?Remember that cell phone in the Transformers movie that they put in the chamber and how it started transforming? Our cell phone could do that too consider Parkoz Hardware guys. Transforming from a usual cell phone to a destruction machine these gadgets would be very cool.A pair of guns, mechanical legs and an evil mind makes the cell phone perfect mini weapon of mass destruction with reduced power of course. Well this would be helpful when threatening your pets or when asking your boss for a pay raise. The only problem left is battery life. The battery needs to be very powerful in order to support this monster's movements. Oh, and one little problem, it needs to have some artificial intelligence micro chip in order to work, but that’s no problem for our noble minds. One last issue: what would they use as bullets? Anybody? Anything?

                              PlayStation phone (XPERIA PLAY)

Rumours of PlayStation phone began with the first console. 17 years later, it’s finally here. While the idea may have been conceived seven years before Sony Ericsson’s incorporation, the mobile phone giant is packing the handset with thoroughly modern technology.

The specifications you’ll expect to find in any high-end smartphone are as follows: there is a 1 GHz CPU (snapdragon), 512 MB RAM, a 4 inch multitouch screen (capacitive touch, 854 x 480), a five megapixel camera and an Android 2.3 operating system.

What you won’t find on any other smartphone is the slide out gaming controls. As a benefit to being the first officially certified PlayStation mobile phone, Sony Ericsson has included most of the functionality of a proper PlayStation controller.

In all honesty, the control pad looks more similar to the slider of the PSP Go then a full controller. You finding the pad on the left, set the standard PlayStation balance on the right, stars and select buttons, shoulder buttons on the back of the device and a long rectangular touchpad in the middle for simulating dual analog sticks.

Sony promises fluid gameplay at 60 frames per second, thanks to the optimisation of the snapdragon processor coupled with an embedded Adreno GPU. It all adds up to some pretty intense gaming potential. We’ve already seen the graphical prowess of the iPhone 4, and the snapdragon/adreno combination promises to go to push the boundaries even further

The phone is not only compatible with android marketplace, letting gamers use to controller on games not designed for the Xperia, but will also boast a dedicated android marketplace gaming section. Here you’ll find 50 launch titles; although we expect a lot of these to be rehashes of old PS one games.

It should ship with one A-plus game from the PlayStation’s history, with most bets placed on crash bandicoot. Personally, we’d like to see the grands turismo launch. Other franchises coming to Xperia PLAY include EA’s Need For Speed, Sims 3, a world-first multiplayer version of FIFA 10 for mobile, Guitar Hero, Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell.Sony Ericsson is also partnering with Unity Technologies – the engine behind the iPhone’s best-looking titles, to use its award-winning development platform, to ensure plenty more beautiful game.

The new Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the first Sony PlayStation gaming centric mobile phone running the latest Google Android OS .It sports a large 4-inch touchscreen display and is powered by the 1GHz Qualcomm CPU with the Adreno 205 GPU and 512 MB of RAM.It has dedicated gaming keys like the PSP  and is the world’s first PlayStation certified Smartphone .

Samsung Instinct vs iPhone 3G: which one will be better?

It's not only the battle of two devices it is the battle of two cell phone services providers:Sprint and AT&T. These two phones will be their best and most powerful presenters that they have. iPhone 3G is not out yet but AT&T was successfully selling the previous versions of iPhone for almost a year now. So some people love AT&T and other love Sprint and it's their choice. What we are going to do is compare the features of the two phones.First of all let's do the comparison of the exterior of Samsung Instinct and iPhone. Instinct is made mainly of plastic which is not that neat today; iPhone has pats made of metal and harden glass to prevent it from scratching. As to AT&T vs. Sprint there are some advantages and disadvantages; but concerning these phones Sprint is giving very high internet speeds and music store from any point of coverage. AT&T's iPhone can only connect to iTunes store via  Wi-Fi, which restricts it to the city limits. Besides, everybody knows about Samsung Instinct's and iPhone's GPS capabilities.

I personally liked the voice control on  Samsung Instinct; however not sure if it would work as good as they demonstrate it, so train your speech to be able to control it.

I'm not sure if it was a good idea to have the keyboard only in landscape mode. My personal opinion is that I want to choose what mode to use because it really frustrates me that I need to turn it every time I want to input some text. One more thing that I love about Instinct is its open platform. I really like to install and use the software I choose. iPhone has made a pretty good job on giving positive experience for the customers but it is closed platform.Another good thing about Instinct is that they give an additional battery and an external battery charger, which can be very helpful during traveling.iPhone should be twice as fast in web browsing as the old iPhone is. It supports Bluetooth, GPRS, GSM, EDGE,  Wi-Fi, HSDPA, UMTS connectivity and that's what they are proud about. One of the biggest news: it will be able to give you 3G video talks with your friends. One other big news is that Apple is going to allow third party applications on their iPhone but only those that are approved by them. Not sure how popular that will be. Apple has done a pretty good job on the user interface. And the question I have is: "Will the third party applications be free or they are going to charge the customers for that?" The platform it is running on is  Mac OS X Mobile which should bring the customers best experiences. In the rest of features the iPhone 3G will be just as its predecessor (one of the best phones out there.) It will roll out on July the 11th in 70 countries of the world. The 8GB version will cost $199 and the 16GB version will cost $299 .

                                Introducing the new nokia N8

The Nokia N8 is a Symbian^3 mobile phone. It is Nokia’s first camera phone to have a 12 megapixel sensor. Nokia claims that the camera sensor will be 30% larger than any camera sensor in a mobile phone before. It is Nokia’s first smartphone to run on the Symbian^3 operating system. Due to ship in select markets starting in Q3, the N8 features a 3.5-inch, 640×360 capacitive touchscreen that lends itself well to some of the new changes to Symbian, such as the single-tap interaction model, addition of multiple home screens, and customization abilities. In addition, the display will have multitouch capabilities.
